Global recording artist and inventor Eylsia Nicolas has selected Meta India as her advisory partner for the launch of BookKards, a patented digital publishing format that combines micro‑transactions, short‑form storytelling, and future AI‑adaptive reading capabilities. The India‑first pilot explores how creators can use micro‑payments and mobile‑native publishing to reach millions of young readers across the country.
BookKards introduces a new category of digital content: emotional, collectible stories that can be purchased instantly through micro‑transactions. The format is designed for India’s mobile‑first audience and aligns with Meta’s ongoing efforts to support creators experimenting with new ways to monetize their work.
As part of the pilot, Meta India has already provided advisory support on Eylsia’s content strategy, including guidance on sequencing, audience targeting, and the development of her latest “ghost video,” filmed this week based on Meta’s recommendations. The team also offered direction on how to allocate and manage the promotional budget behind her viral “monster clip,” giving BookKards a data‑driven foundation for its micro‑payment launch.
After recovering from COVID‑related vocal damage, Nicolas used advanced audio restoration tools to regain her original voice – a process that has become part of her artistic identity. Her journey, from teenage tennis champion to Hollywood executive, college president, and now author of Not Like Anyone Else, underscores that her voice is not synthetic but restored, shaped by a life unlike anyone else’s.
When fully built out, the BookKards format is designed to allow readers to shape their own journey – adjusting the level of the content, the language of their choice, and even the length of the experience. No two readers will ever read the same book. This future capability positions BookKards as one of the first publishing formats built for AI‑personalized storytelling.
“India is the most exciting digital market in the world, and Meta India understands how young audiences discover stories,” said Eylsia Nicolas. “Their guidance has already shaped the way we’re launching BookKards. This pilot is the first step in building a new publishing ecosystem for creators.“
BookKards is built on a portfolio of patents covering digital publishing, micro‑transactions, and mobile‑native content delivery. The platform aims to give creators a new way to earn revenue outside traditional streaming and publishing models, which often leave artists with minimal compensation.
India was selected as the first market due to its rapidly growing creator economy, strong adoption of digital payments, and global leadership in mobile storytelling. Following the India pilot, BookKards will expand into the Philippines and other emerging creator markets.
