Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Limited passed away on Tuesday at the age of 64. Vikram is considered one of the stalwarts of India’s automotive industry. He was also the face of brand Toyota in India.

 Initial reports suggest that Vikram S. Kirloskar suffered a heart attack. Information was made public on the social media handles of Toyota India.

At this time of grief, we request everyone to pray that his soul rests in peace. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends”, read the statement.

Vikram is survived by his daughter Manasi Kirloskar and wife Geetanjali Kirloskar, living in Bengaluru. Vikram Kirloskar was born in November 1958 in the family of SL Kirloskar. After completing his studies for Lawrence School in Ooty, he joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and graduated in mechanical engineering.

Kirloskar Systems Ltd., a holding and Investment Company owned by Vikram Kirloskar in partnership with Toyota is in the Manufacturing of cars, Textile Machinery, Aluminium die-casting. Also, the company manufacture various Auto components. Toyota Kirloskar Motor or Kirloskar Group is supposed to have a net worth or 500 crore plus.

Vikram Kirloskar was also associated with organisations like CII, SIAM and ARAI. He was last seen on November 25, 2022, attending the Innova HyCross unveil event in Mumbai, a new generation car by Toyota India.
