The Punjab Police announced on Thursday that it has dismantled a terror module supported by Pakistan’s ISI, arresting one individual and seizing four hand grenades.
A joint operation by the State Special Operations Cells of Amritsar and Mohali, along with the Counter Intelligence Wing, also led to the recovery of two foreign-made pistols and ammunition.
Initial investigations indicate the accused was following orders from handlers based abroad and is connected to a terror group responsible for a recent grenade attack in Chandigarh.
An FIR has been lodged at the Police Station State Special Operation Cell in Amritsar, and efforts are ongoing to identify, track, and arrest other members of the module, Yadav added in a post on X.
