“The people of J&K are entitled to superior governance, and it is crucial that their voices are acknowledged and their rights safeguarded.,” says Pawar

“The recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir are a stark reminder of the persistent threat posed by terrorism. These cowardly acts of violence have caused immense suffering to the people of the region,” Pawar stated. He emphasized the urgent need for a robust and effective response from the authorities to address this threat.

Pawar highlighted the inadequacies of the current administrative setup in Jammu and Kashmir, stating, “The failure of the Jammu and Kashmir Administration to prevent these attacks and ensure the safety and security of its citizens is deeply concerning. It is evident that the current administrative setup is not equipped to handle the complex challenges faced by the region.”

In light of these events, Pawar called for the immediate restoration of an elected government in Jammu and Kashmir. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve better governance, and it is imperative that their voices are heard and their rights are protected. An elected government, accountable to the people, is essential for addressing the issues of security, development, and governance in Jammu and Kashmir,” he asserted.

The NCP Chief also expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir during this difficult time and urged the central government to take swift and decisive action to restore peace and stability in the region. “We urge the central government to ensure that the perpetrators of these heinous acts are brought to justice,” Pawar concluded.

Adding to Pawar’s statement, Rakesh Sapru, NCP leader from Kashmir, also voiced his concerns. “The state of absolute lawlessness in Jammu and Kashmir is alarming. The recent terror attacks are a grim reminder of the constant threat to life that the common man in Kashmir faces,” Sapru said.

He criticized the current administration for failing to create a safe environment and reiterated the need for an elected government. “It is high time that a responsive government elected by the people is allowed to take charge in Jammu and Kashmir. The youth are facing massive unemployment, and the people need a representative government that is sympathetic to their needs,” he added.

The statements from Sharad Pawar and Rakesh Sapru come at a time when the region is grappling with heightened security concerns and calls for better governance. The demand for an elected government reflects the broader sentiment among the people of Jammu and Kashmir for greater political representation and accountability.
